Helpful Habits

Photo by Dương Nhân from Pexels

Life has been a little up and down for me lately.

Not enough hours in the day.

Too many things to do in too short a time.

Too many demands and a head that refuses to 'shut down' the busier life becomes.

If you can relate--read on.

This photograph reminded me of the many facets of life and how much we are supposed to 'cram' into it in any given day.

How to cope?

Nearly two decades ago, my only coping mechanism was alcohol. Today, I'm pleased to report that taking a drink to numb my feelings, or help me cope with a life rapidly becoming an out-of-control life is no longer an option.

So, how do I get done the overwhelming number of things that are grabbing for my attention?

I make a list.

A To-Do-List.

You can find out more about it here.

Once I've ascertained what I have to do today, then I block out time to do the things.

It sounds too simple.

Sometimes the best ideas are the simple ones--it's a matter of putting them into action that is the hard part.

I learned a long time ago that taking an action is the key to easing the stress and worry in my life. Once I've taken that first step, the rest falls naturally into place.

So, go make a To Do List.

You can use the one I've used for years. Go pick it up here.

Then take an action. I guarantee you'll feel so much better for doing so.

Yours in love & gratitude,

Toni xx
