Worm Tea for your Herbs & Garden

Worm Farm www.lifeloveandlettuce.com
Everyone needs a space for worms

Is it worm tea or leachate?

Frankly, I don't care and the debate can rage around me.

I've been putting the liquid that comes out of my worm farm on my garden for over two decades and everything grows really well.

The liquid that comes out of my worm farm actually has to travel through three tiers of worm castings, so all I know is that by the time it comes out of the tap, it's full of something that the plants love.

Should 'worm wee' be diluted, or can I use it 'straight'?

I've used it both ways (diluting 10:1) but, frankly, I haven't seen a difference either way.

I don't put this on my plants leaves, but soak the 'soil' or mulch around the plants and trees. I always make sure that I harvest before I fertilize, that way there's even less chance of me getting any nasties on my food.

I have a great article about how I turn my kitchen scraps into garden gold using worms here.

Check out the video below for quick tips about worm farming too.

Love & lettuce,

Toni xx
