There's nothing I love more than falling into a good book.
I was one of those kids who read everything I could get my hands on...nothing's really changed. If it's got words on it, you'll usually find me reading it.
My dearly beloved cleared out the mail box tonight of the 'junk' mail. He knows well enough to scan the paperwork in front of me before it heads for the recycling bin.
"Do you want to read this one?" is an often asked question as the brightly coloured flyers and various advertisements for shoes and linen head for the bin.
Reading has always transported me from my own life in a special way.
Now that I'm a writer, words continue to transport me to new places, only now, I have a (small) chance to orchestrate where I'm going on a particular journey.
At the moment, I'm writing a series about rockstars who are at the beginning of their rise to fame. It's a fun little jaunt that I never believed I'd have the chance to write. My darling readers (who I love with all my heart) have helped me to craft a story that we're all enjoying so much.
I write romance because I love reading romance and I love a happy ending.
There's too much sorrow and hatred and fear in the world, so I decided a long time ago to focus as much as I can on the positive.
As I've told you so many times before, writing helps me to make sense of my world. It's a pleasure to be able to share my stories with others.
If anyone had told me when I first got sober that I'd be writing stories and sharing the characters in my head with anyone but myself, I wouldn't have believed them.
I guess I should be grateful that I didn't try and write my own story--or I'd have missed out on all of this!
Yours in love & gratitude,
